AHS Counselor's CornerText Box: CHANGES TO ACT REGISTRATION PROCESS ACT has made a change to the voucher procedures for 2007-2008 testing year. All international examinees must register via the ACT Website in order to test. ACT will no longer allow examinees to show up on test day with their registration packets. Text Box: Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) Grade 9 Reading Assessment      The DoDEA Community Strategic Plan (CSP) for 2006-2011 calls for an assessment of reading proficiency for grade 9, in addition to the reading portion of the TerraNova, Multiple Assessment, 2nd Edition. DoDEA will use the Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) Lexile score and the TerraNova as the two CSP measures of reading proficiency for grade 9.      The 9th grade students will participate in the SRI in the fall and again in the spring. The TerraNova assessment will be administered in the spring only. Each measure will provide teachers and parents with different types of information about a student’s strengths and weaknesses in reading. TerraNova provides the national comparative data, while the SRI produces a Lexile score.      Should you have any questions, please contact your guidance counselor or ELA specialist for further assistance. *Please note more information about the TerraNova Multiple Assessment will be provided in January 2008.   Text Box: The ACT Examination date is scheduled for Saturday, December 8th.
